Where we hear about:
- Articulate the importance of understanding agile capitalization
- Identify key areas to begin the journey of moving away from time tracking and towards value stream capitalization
- Identify the key elements required to capitalize labor when using agile methodologies
- Apply lessons learned and industry reports as a way to teach executives and finance how to capitalize labor without the constructs of waterfall projects"
Whether you're an agilist, a senior manager, a c-suite executive, or in finance & accounting you should all care about labor capitalization. In this talk you will hear about a transformation that took place that eventually led to the outcome of value stream capitalization.
In this report you will hear about how the journey began and the challenges to labor capitalization.
You’ll hear about how the end game was defined and perceived by various parts of the organization. From there we’ll dive into how we laid the seeds for a future state while simultaneously improving the current state. Some key elements we implemented for other reasons but they became key while others were part of a longer game plan like our value stream structure.
We’ll also talk about how we revisited capitalization once those seeds become trees. We’ll talk about the elevator pitch that got executives on board followed by the talks with finance to eventually turn the initiative into a reality.
And finally you’ll hear some glimpses into our future and our current state of how well this is working.
