"Do you remember a time when a parent, teacher, coach, or boss instructed you to ""Do as I say, not as I do""? After asking a person of authority to explain why you should do something, have you ever received the answer, ""Because I said so""?
How did these responses make you feel? Inspired, energized, and motivated? Or perhaps not human and merely a ""resource""? Obviously, these are toxic responses that do not align with Agile principles and can introduce apathy, discord, and division.
In this session, I will share subtle examples of how we communicate hypocritical responses when attempting to implement Agile practices. I will also share tactics I am currently using to demonstrate the advantages of an Agile mindset to the teams and organizations I serve."
