What is coaching? How do we coach?

There are blurred lines in the perceptions of agile coaching as an industry as well as in the various stances you might take as a coach when working with a client. In some ways, coaching is more than and in other ways less than what we think it is.

Our views on coaching are colored by our own experience as well as how coaching is perceived by those with whom we work.

In this session, we'll discuss the relationship between coach and client and the connections between coaching goals, learning, development, and coaching outcomes.

Attendees will be able to :

  • Describe coaching as a profession
  • Explain the relationship between agile coach and client
  • Explain the impact of coaching, i.e., coaching outcomes
  • Describe the coaching process
