The problem: In the past, your remote workspace was used occasionally and may have consisted of a few books, a power strip, and earbuds.
When Covid hit, you may have added a few elements, based on availability over sustainability.
However, with remote workers on the rise across the globe, having an ergonomic and functional workspace at home is important. I
n this presentation, you'll learn how to create your perfect workspace at home (even if it's in a corner) keeping in mind feng shui, ergonomics, and functionality. In addition, we'll talk about how to create workspaces for anyone in the family.
For stories, I plan on using the evolution of my current space and lessons I've learned along the way.
For example, over-the-ear headphones are essential for keeping everyone working within the same room, as well as items I've found with dual purposes (need a monitor riser, grab a stack of your favorite books).
I have a map of my house that I named each room and set up a schedule between rooms so I no longer feel ""trapped"" in the office when I am working from home.
I think these stories will appeal to others in the same position, looking for help on how to make everything work (and on the cheap!).
Attendees will leave with a checklist for creating their own space.
